The VS/DS section of the Economic Council had invited to an exciting event on the future of energy supply, and also members from the surrounding sections had followed this invitation.

The host was Wiha Werkzeuge GmbH, a third-generation family-owned company that is not only one of the world’s leading manufacturers of hand tools, but also one of the TOP 100 most innovative companies in the German SME sector.

The Senior President of Wiha, Wilfried Hahn, impressively demonstrated in his presentation that the energy supply in Germany is increasingly extremely critical, both in terms of the security of supply and the cost situation. He presented possible solutions on how the energy supply in Germany can be changed in a sustainable, secure and cost-efficient way.

The event was concluded by an intensive discussion, which was characterised by the fact that the participants agreed on the increasingly extreme risks of energy supply.
