Personal exchange and networking within the Economic Council thrive on the people who contribute their experiences, perspectives and businesses. It is particularly at regional level that many valuable contacts, new ideas and exciting collaborations emerge.

That is why Ulrich Dietz issued an invitation to the summer members’ meeting of the Villingen-Schwenningen/Donaueschingen section. The event was hosted by the Welzer & Partner office in VS-Schwenningen. In a pleasant atmosphere, several new members had the opportunity to briefly introduce themselves and their companies and to strike up conversations with members of the section.

In addition, Andreas Braun, Member of the State Parliament, was welcomed as a guest. As a new directly elected Member of the State Parliament, he spoke about his first few months in the Baden-Württemberg State Parliament and provided insights into day-to-day political life in Stuttgart. He also highlighted current political initiatives and key challenges facing Baden-Württemberg from a state political perspective.

Although the unofficial theme of the event was about new beginnings, a new beginning often also means saying goodbye. Adrian Schuppert, desk officer at the Baden-Württemberg regional association of the Economic Council, is leaving the Economic Council to take on new tasks. Ulrich Dietz thanked Adrian Schuppert for their long-standing trusting, constructive and successful collaboration and wished him all the best and every success for the future. As a small token of appreciation, he presented him with a Black Forest landscape made of chocolate.

Another big thank you goes to Andreas Braun, Member of the State Parliament, to the speakers and, in particular, to Gerrit Woerner as the host for this successful event!
