This year, there was once again the opportunity to attend the VDI German Engineers’ Day (DIT) in Düsseldorf. In addition to many exciting technical presentations, this year’s event also focused on (socio-)political issues: there was consensus that the importance of German engineers for the success of Germany as a business location must be made much more visible. At the same time, Germany must be sustainably strengthened as a business and technology location and as a driver of innovation. Various measures were proposed and discussed to this end. All in all, it was a successful and fantastic event!
