At the beginning of the event, participants had the opportunity to get to know Schuler Präzisionstechnik KG both through a tour and a presentation. With approximately 400 employees, Schuler Präzisionstechnik KG has been active in various industries such as automotive, aviation, and medical technology since its founding in 1925 and has grown very successfully despite an economically challenging environment.

Andreas Glück then reported about the European Parliament. Andreas Glück has been a member of the European Parliament for the FDP since 2019 and is a member of various committees there, e.g., the Committee on Industry, Research, and Energy, as well as a substitute member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs. In addition, he is an active physician (surgeon) who still performs surgery himself usually once a week.

In his report, he explained in particular the decision-making mechanisms in the European Parliament in interaction with the European Commission. However, these mechanisms differ significantly from those of the German Bundestag. Finally, the political decisions of the EU have a significant influence on the economic stability and competitiveness of Germany as a business location.

The event concluded with closing remarks by Ulrich Dietz and words of thanks to the speaker and hosts.
