On June 28^th, Schwarz IT held its Cloud X Summit at the Heilbronn Education Campus to introduce and promote the Schwarz Group’s new digital brand “STACKIT”.

The Schwarz Group is the largest European trading company with well over 500,000 employees in more than 32 countries and accordingly has the highest demands regarding the performance, availability and security of its IT. For this Schwarz IT with STACKIT is the central service provider with its own data centers and an internally developed public cloud.

The event was well and competent attended with over 280 customers and business partners.

The opening included highly interesting presentations by Christian Müller, CEO of Schwarz IT, and Rolf Schumann, CEO of Schwarz Digital, to name just a few.

This was followed by parallel breakout sessions in several rooms on various cloud topics such as cyber security, compliance, cloud-native applications, migration and AI.

During the event, Ulrich Dietz had the opportunity for many intensive discussions with STACKIT employees and other participants. Particularly impressive was the personal conversation with Markus Schwind, member of the management Schwarz IT, who shared examples of the already extremely demanding technical requirements. With the technical competences required for this, STACKIT sees itself well positioned to provide IT services at the highest level also for customers outside the Schwarz Group. Thus STACKIT follows so to speak the “Amazon way”, but with a purely European approach and accordingly in compliance with all European requirements for confidentiality and data protection.
